COCKTAIL RECIPE
Spritz
Spritz is a classic Italian aperitif cocktail made with sparkling wine, aperitif liqueur and soda water.
The story of the Spritz cocktail begins in the early 19th century in the north of Italy, particularly in and around Venice. At the time, the region was under the influence of the Austrian Empire and Austrian soldiers felt that Italian wines were too strong for them.
For this reason, soldiers began to drink their wine by diluting it with a little water. This habit, which comes from the German word "spritzen", meaning "to spray", eventually took the name Spritz. Initially this drink was just a mixture of wine and water.

Over the years, the Italian aperitif culture evolved and herbal liqueurs such as Campari and Aperol were added to the mix. Sparkling wine and soda water were also used to create a fresher and more aromatic drink.
