Hugo Spritz
Hugo Spritz - A light, fresh and aromatic spritz cocktail made with Prosecco, elderflower liqueur, soda water and mint. One of the most popular aperitifs of the summer months.
The Hugo Spritz is a modern spritz cocktail that originated in the South Tyrol region in northern Italy. It was created in 2005 by Italian bartender Roland Gruber. The aim was to offer a lighter and aromatic alternative to classic spritz cocktails. The floral aroma of elderflower liqueur, the crisp foaminess of prosecco and the fresh scent of mint leaves combine to create a balanced and summery drink. Over time, the cocktail became especially popular in bars and restaurants in the Alpine regions and soon spread throughout Europe. Today, the Hugo Spritz is considered one of the most preferred spritz cocktails as an alternative to the classic Aperol Spritz and is often served as an aperitif, especially on summer evenings.
