Cosmopolitan was born in the city bars of the US in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Although popularized by Rosie O'Donnell and bartenders, it was the iconic 90s TV series Sex and the City that made it a worldwide legend. The pink Martini glass in Carrie Bradshaw's hand made Cosmopolitan a symbol of modern women and urban life.
