Bramble
Bramble - A fresh and fruity modern classic made with gin, lemon juice and blackberry liqueur.
The Bramble is one of the most successful classics of the modern cocktail world and was created in London in the 1980s. The cocktail was developed by the famous British bartender Dick Bradsell at Fred's Club in Soho.
Bradsell's inspiration came from his childhood days picking blackberries in the English countryside. In English, "bramble" means wild blackberry bush. The purple color and fruity character of the cocktail are also inspired by this memory of nature.
“Some cocktails are born not from a place but from a memory”
The dry structure of the gin is balanced by the acidity of the lemon and the sweet aroma of the blackberry liqueur. Crème de Mûre added from the top gently disperses in the cocktail and gives the glass a natural color transition.
Today, Bramble is considered a modern classic and is on the menu in most cocktail bars around the world.
