COCKTAIL RECIPE
Three Dots and a Dash
Three Dots and a Dash is a complex and aromatic tiki cocktail made with a combination of different rums, citrus and spicy syrups. With tropical fruit flavors and almond notes, it is both rich and balanced.
Three Dots and a Dash was created in the 1940s by Donn Beach (Don the Beachcomber), one of the most famous names in tiki cocktail culture. The name of the cocktail comes from the Morse alphabet. "Three dots and a dash" or "...-" represents the letter "V" in the Morse alphabet and was the "Victory" symbol used during the Second World War.
Donn Beach created this cocktail as a tribute to wartime soldiers. The tropical and rich aroma of the drink reflects the tiki bar atmosphere of the time. The combination of multiple types of rum, spicy syrups and citrus gives the drink a very complex character.
